The work has been completed across a variety of sectors, (including 6.5 million square feet of commercial office space; over 3000 houses, flats and apartments; 2.25 million square feet of leisure and hospitality facilities; 2.25 million square feet of industrial space and 1.25 million square feet of high street retail) both across the UK and Internationally; including Moscow Russia, Boston USA, and the Netherlands.
The Directors and all of the team feel privileged to have been able to play a small part in making a difference to the urban landscape and in helping to shape people’s lives.
The group has a simple mission - to deliver architecture, interiors and art through three trading subdivisions - Red Box Architecture, Red Box Interiors and Red Box Gallery, with Fuse Box Design sitting alongside delivering new media.
The main Board of Red Box Design Group Limited consists of Alan J Smith as Chairman, responsible for strategy, policy and business development, with Andrew M Clark and Barry Farrar as Managing Director and Director respectively, appointed to manage and carry out that strategy.
Within Red Box Architecture there are eleven Associates responsible for the executive work on major projects.
Quality design, commitment, personal service and enthusiasm are the foundations upon which the Group is built. We believe that good design will always be good design.
We are interested in the design and production of long life, well finished buildings which fit ergonomically and economically into existing urban frameworks, and are rather less concerned with passing fashion and style, but in producing manageable low maintenance buildings that exude intrinsic quality.
The practice actively supports and promotes a return to the ‘layered’ city within urban village frameworks and urban interior pockets.
We seek to fully understand the commercial pressures imposed upon our clients and respond by moving quickly at proposal stages, ultimately producing buildings which build, sell or let well, and are completed on time, within budget, and which are a pleasure to live, learn, work or play in.
